Ok well I have to say this week I stuck to the program of starting slow, trying to build up my non-existent muscles! I actually enjoyed my walks.. I did the 3 times this week at 20 minutes each. I only enjoy walking as the sun goes down till the moon is up.. The other night I walked with my grand-baby in her carriage and the moon was full, and such a beautiful night. I just have to get my daughter moving with me...She did it 2 times with me already so shes doing good!!! I'm dying to hear how everyone else is doing!!

Hi Roe, apologies to all for not checking in this week, so sorry i missed it by a day, i had been on line but just got the days mixed up and i am still convinced today is Saturday when in fact it is Friday, must be one of those weeks. Regarding the water, i did not expect additional challenges to the challenge i joined, however if you get nauseous,i may have a tip for you. When i first started drinking water on a regular basis, ten years ago i made the mistake of gulping down a whole glass at once to get it over with, i then poured a glass , left it on the kitchen table while doing housework and just took a few sips at a time, now and then , this was the ideal situation to adapt because i was not forcing it(and i am sure all of us on weight loss programmes know all about that.) It did the trick, i began building up slowly until i could not go to work without my large bottle of water. I understand the 2 litres includes your tea or any liquid you drink as it is not good to drink too much also. I have already done two of my walks. I am planning getting up very early (HOPEFULLY)and taking a long steady stroll over the hill and down to a local loch and if it rains i will take an umbrella. Have a good and positve weekend all. Thank u for all ur concerns on my daughter's health.. as I mentioned on another post, her blood tests have come down!!! Her sugar was great and triglycerides went from 589 to 325!!! We already have a fam history of high triglycerides so in the 300's is good for us... mine is not good at all.. I am having pancreatitis attacks cause mine is so high.. and Im on medication to lower it.. need to do much better.. I started my own account.. this will be where I track my daughter's and mine will be on another account.. I will send my buddies here an invite soon ;)

Sazy: that is a good idea since that is exactly what I do, gulp it down to get it over with, I will try it ur way now!! You r doing great with walking and being positive and encouraging others.. you are a gem ;) good luck with ur walk and hope the weather is nice ;)

Hi Roe! Thanks for the encouragement!! I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble with this water issue. Your suggestions sound good and I will definitely try. The walking is getting to be really easy because of the time of year - Christmas (shopping). Went shopping with my husband last night and we were out for hours. He is 6'3 and I really have to hustle to keep up with his long legs . . . and he likes to park the car clear out in the middle of nowhere so no one hits it with their doors or shopping carts, so we have a good hike to the stores. I am usually huffing and puffing and he is laughing at me, but hey . . . whatever works right?
