Take the first week one day/hour at a time. I detoxed from carbs and experienced nausea, gagging on protein, the shakes, headache, irritabiliy, crying spells. It was awful. But I have adjusted and with the addition of veggies I feel much much better.

Be super strict on the total calorie intake number! My first week, I was doing great on total carb intake and on what types of food to eat, but when I didn't lose as much as everyone anticipated, I went over my numbers, and found that I had consumed almost TWICE the total calories that they wanted me to intake. Mind you, it was still half of what I NORMALLY eat in a day, thanks to years of unrestrained portion control, but going from 4000+ a day to 1000-1200 takes some serious focus. Re-evaluated my foods and did a strict calorie-count, and got on the right track.
