Ruhu's Journal, 10 January 2014

The holidays are seeming so long ago & I'm working to make the holiday weight gain feel the same! Down another lb so no complaints here :). Light snow this morning & pouring rain tomorrow?!? So, gotta leave early for spin class which means leaving FS early… too early… too! Lunch today with some girlfriends, than another quiet evening, with time to read journals again… yeah!

But first, I'll pray --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way through this one day & each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion. I'm sooooo grateful for each of you, my family & IRL friends, a quiet weekend with minimal socializing, & having the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox

I think a lot of people are surprised to learn the weight we gained over the holidays was so easily lost again. Would enjoy learning the physics behind that. Dropped 4 lbs. in less then 2 weeks is what I did. Amazing. Just wish we could drop the rest as easily. But safely. Glad you got rid of yours.

ClassicRocker - I think you will find that as we have eaten more food over the holidays - it literally weighs more in the gut "in transit" - so is not actually weightgain as in fat on our bodies....more like food in our tummies. The sudden "weightloss" can be found in the toilet - the weight that doesn't drop off in the first week or so will be actual gain

I didn't eat massive amounts of food. Gorging or anything like that. Just ate lots of sweets and junk. Weight of the food wasn't gross, it was the caloric content. Whatever it is, it's gone, and as you said, down the toitie. Thanks for the response.
