3 days back into Medifast and I must say the adapting to the foods has been alittle horrible but I have stuck with it. Needless to say, DINNER is like my favorite time of the day. We must admit, Medifast foods are an acquired taste and initially they are QUITE nasty to be honest. It is only after eating those foods and ONLY those do your taste buds adjust to thinking they taste better. Right now though, I am still trying to hold my breath and drink...lol. These are days when I ponder on nutrisystem, BUT medifast just loses weight faster and is healthier...therefore I rather eat dirt and lose if the results will come much faster. I am looking forward to seeing the scale drastically go down day by day and week by week and hope to be where I was before VERY soon because I never made it past 327.

Have a good day!

hey momma!... girl diets shouldnt be torture!!!..lol.. you should be able to eat wht you love! that's how u maintain! i mean obviously within reason... i don't eat anything that i couldn't eat if i wasn't dieting... the best way to get a diet you can stick with is by doing something you can maintain forever!... and the speed of losing weight (while i totally feel you b/c to me the faster the better) shouldn't be the biggest concern... the most important thing is to do something that you can stick with while losing weight... is there something else u can try?

Hey Love I must agree with Naiomy. While I would love to wake up tomorow and be at my goal weight, I know that if I have not developed a healthy lifestyle I will gain the weight back and then some. I don't know if you watched Dr. Phil yesterday but he had Ted Williams the homeless man with the golden radio voice on his show yesterday. Mr. Williams is living a Cinderella story. He has literally gone from rags to riches. However he is also a recovering alcoholic and crack addict, a convicted felon and a man who has lived on the streets for over 10 years. Though he truly has a gift, he needs major rehabilitation before the successful use of his gift can be accomplished. Dr. Phil told Mr. Williams that in the next few weeks the media will be gone and that he was going to be left with a life to manage. Sis don't get to goal with a diet that won't keep you there. Trust me I know what your feeling.

Exactly... when i started early last year i was totally not doing something that was maintainable. once i started basing my meals on how many calories i wanted to take in vs just something really torturous.. it became more fun.. and i noticed doing it that way made me WANT to eat healthy... i'd rather have a huge yummy grilled chicken salad.. vs a tiny cheeseburger that may have the same calories, but wasn't nearly as satisfying. you can do this.. u have to findsomething that makes it work for u :)

I hear you all....its not very bad...just a lil bad..lol. But at almost 400 pounds I need to use medifast to get down to a reasonable weight where I can then use the knowledge I have gained throughout this process to eat regular foods manageably. See at the weight I am now I know how to eat below my BMR...the problem is actually doing it. Medifast forces me to do it and I need that force and constraint in order to do it. With a smaller stomach and smaller weight I would be able to do all the things that I can't now like exercise with more ease and eat with not having to consume the entire box of cereal. I would live a more active lifestyle which is possible. Now even walking is disastrous. So, I completely understand what you all are saying...like really. It is the same advice I would give..lol. I just have to use this tool to get me to where I can take you alls advice first, and medifast happens to be the best way other than surgery.

i feel you girl.. everyone is different.. i do thk that the severity of my first diet (grapefruit, salad, below 1K) tho unsafe, set me up to be ready to eat what i should be.. right now i struggle to hit 1200 b/c i was stupidly eating below 900 a day.. not good.. but now 1200 seems like a feast!!..lol..good luck girl.. as long as ur happy that's all that matters!
