The cleanse is again working & I'm thrilled that my weight is right where I left it! All the biking... and sore muscles... paid off! Now, its time to get back to work building my healthy eating & living road... any other construction workers out there?

I'm trying a new approach next time I travel which will be to see Mom & my youngest on the 2nd weekend of Oct. DS has his fall break then & will meet me in Cincinnati for a "Granny" visit. Upon my return home then, my plan is to acknowledge my habit and the path its carved into my brain, work with it & gradually try to change it by making better, healthier choices.

I'm off to pick up my cleanse juices, smoothies & soup and on to workout class. But before I begin my day, I'll start in prayer (its soooooo good to be back in my routine!) --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

As I get back on track on this one day and each one cleansing drink, moment, sip & emotion, I'll continue to pray, breathe, journal & express my way through. I'm so very grateful for each of you (whom I've missed so dearly), the wonderful trip of a lifetime I was so fortunate to have taken, my family & IRL friends, and the health & wealth to live this life I love. xoxoxo

Good morning Ruth! I made it on before you got off. So glad the cleanse is working again! And great plan for your next travel. Perhaps you could carry some sort of prepackaged gluten free stuff, like I carry protein bars, just in case you can't find anything healthy? Or some fruit? Something, anything, to help stop you feeling so bad about travelling. Especially leaving mum again, that's always hard. And construction, yep, my WOE is always under construction. Have an awesome date Petal! xxxx

A great trip full of fun and you got a lot of exercise in too! That's the best trip to have.

And congrats that your weight is back to normal. I would say lucky girl but I don't think luck had anything to do with it :)

Congratulations on sticking to your maintenance plan. As always, you are full of great ideas. Wish I could get my WOE etched into my brain too!

Hi Ruth, sister's husband is deceased, about 7 years now. He died, suddenly, while on holiday, in Scotland, from blood poisoning. No idea how he got it. Sis fell apart then and has gone down hill steadily since then. And I don't mind you asking :)
