I'm down .2 from my weight last week, which is a little disappointing. I've been exercising a lot and keeping to my points really well. Oh well, when I was doing WW before I would lose a little one week and then more the next, so maybe that's what will happen this time. I'll give the WW a little longer because I do like the idea of taking fiber and fat into account more than just calories. I don't know why it *wouldn't* work since I lost 15 lbs on it before. I know you're supposed to give "diets" some time before you right them off, so I'll do that and my next plan is to try the zig zagging approach like Lotus and others are using.

I'm visiting my grandmother this weekend (near Charlotte, NC) so that I can see her before leaving for Kansas for 3 months. She was in the hospital last week for an irregular heartbeat, but is doing fine now. She's on coumidin (sp?) a blood thinning medication so she has to be really careful not to cut herself or fall. She can't do a lot anymore, but still lives on her own (widowed twice) and cooks and does things, but a lot of outside work or lifting too high she can't do. She normally makes my dad a "to-do" list (he's up here too) and I told her to go ahead and make this one a little longer since he was staying a day or so longer and she DID. So I guess I'll help him with that today
hanging a mirror
cutting monkey grass
weeding a couple flower beds
putting up a new mailbox (which we went and bought last night)
taking the trash to the dump
etc.

Maybe we can get to it before it rains.

We went out to Applebee's last night and I tried their shrimp & spinach salad again, yum! It's good and I get it lightly seasoned b/c the shrimp is too spicy for me otherwise. I looked up the nutrition info on calorie-count.com and apparently it's only 4 points! Then we went to the grocery store to get some things and then to Lowe's. Finally we got home and it was about 10 before I even started my workout, but got in 50 minutes.

I can't believe I leave for Kansas in less than a week. I'm getting anxious and although I'm prepared I FEEL unprepared. Hope I don't stress too much, I just need to reassure myself that everything will get done and whatever I don't bring I can buy at Wal-Mart there. Lol.

Stick with the plan for a couple weeks at least before changing it, you might just me getting a slow start. I have had a lot of times where I wouldn't lose hardly anthing one week, then a big drop the next. I don't do weight watchers but I do make sure to have at least 25 grams of fiber a day and keep my fat around 20% of calories on average, occasionally up to 30%, it works well.

I agree with Lotus...I, too, went through couple of plateaus, and then would see a big drop the next week. It'll be good next week, I"m pretty sure!! Have fun at grandma's and then in Kansas..maybe you'll meet the wizard ;)

The Shrimp salad sounds delicious and such a good choice! I've never heard of monkey grass - but I googled it and its very pretty, but I can see where it would need a haircut. I'm excited for your move! Be sure to allow yourself a little wiggle room during the transion. You are doing great!!! As long as you keep your eating healthy, all the unpacking and Walmart errands, will burn a few calories.

.4 is disappointing but Im glad you are being sensible enough to give it more time. Weeding the garden is great exercise, so make sure you get to do that one! I really hope the move to Kansas goes well for you. Maybe you should sit down one night this week and have a think about what meals you are going to have to get used to eating. You will be cooking for one now eh? You will be proud of me Alaina, I have just had only a tiny sliver of chocolate cake and that's where I'm leaving it!! Gaw can eat the rest! :)

Celebrate the .2 lb loss! It sure beats a gain! I am sure that with all of your hard work, you will see a loss to make up for this week or next. It sounds like you will be very busy again today with all of the work you have planned at your grandmother's house. Don't worry about Kansas. You will have a wonderful adventure, I'm sure.

A loss is great, whatever the size! I'm sure you'll see a big loss soon, what with all the exercise you've been putting in. Still with it - you're doing a great job! Hope you're having a lovely weekend with your grandma - certainly sounds like she's going to be keeping you busy!!
