Deere Man's Journal, 09 July 2014

Going the right direction still. Calories needed comes down as my weight comes off. I use a digital scale but won't record less than a pound. This is long term commitment and during the day weight fluctuates so recording less than a pound does not help me. I am keeping to calorie count within my goal weight and using low calorie snack or portion control. Dairy consumption is very helpful for my weight reduction. All things in moderation. Been 7 weeks tomorrow and I feel more energy.
221.0 lb Lost so far: 22.0 lb.    Still to go: 41.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thank you for the kind words over on my journal. My aim today is not to be an "age-ist." All the while, I sense my own keen hyper awareness of age as a framework for the way those of us in our fifties and sixties view the challenges necessary for healthy living.
