If anyone does interval training out there...may I recommend a Gymboss timer?!?! I just used mine for the first time today and boy does that little alarm function keep you jumping. Hands free and WAY easier than using my watch to let me know when it's time to move and when it's time to rest.

Lunch hour workout turned out to be 5 rounds of core intervals, followed by finally establishing my baseline of push-ups for the "4-minute push up challenge" that I so foolishly joined - LOL. Spent a little bit of time on the stationary bike to loosen up the legs from the prior 2 days.

We have sun today, but snow is forecast for the next couple of days. I've enjoyed the walks that I've been able to steal today. Need that vitamin D

I follow a workout video, so a Gymboss timer wouldn't work for me, but I'm glad it works for you! :) ...Dare I ask what the "4-minute push up challenge" entails?

It's just what it sounds like, Blue; how many push-ups can you do in 4 minutes. Once a week see if you can improve on that. As I said, a foolish decision to join (LOL), but I've always been bad at push-ups so I'll commit to it.

Is it 4 minutes straight or can you break it up into something smaller, like 30 second intervals? I am horrible at push-ups as well. It feels like, overall, upper body strength is harder for females to improve upon.

IPads and iPhones have an app!

[Blue] I took breaks during the 4 minutes when I needed to...I'm only competing against myself. [Kris] There really is an app for everything, isn't there.

Yes, I fear what apps are out "there"
