Hey buddies,

Yesterday I had some wonderful Italian food that has been in the freezer for a while.
Well, delicious food, but today I pay for it with an extra pound on the scale.
Needless to say, is it worth it enjoying a meal for 20 minutes and then it takes up to one week to loose the weight bump?
OK, every now and then it's good for soul, having some special food....
Yesterday I baked some good aubergine with meat and cheese, it was delicios but way too much.
And also "cannoli" directly from Italy. Luckily I had only 2 of them, and in total was less than 200 grams in weight.
I will try to limit the damage this weekend, I am visiting my partner's family.
Every time I will be offered cake, I will think about whether is worth it to add another week to see again the weight on the scale I saw yesterday.

Have a happy Easter weekend, buddies!

Hi! Take it from an Italian girl, the true Italian food is not bad at all for your diet, you just have to look at the quantities (and the dressing, of course!). A little trick: if I ate a lot in the evening, I usually don't weigh the morning after: you'll loose whatever you have eaten in the blink of an eye (if you eat properly), you don't need to worry about it when you're starting a new day!!! Don't discourage yourself!!! Happy Easter to you too!

ops! I just saw you're Italian too: you already know everything then, and shouldn't worry too much ;)

Ya I broke down and went and ate Chinese with my hubby since it is his favorite and my least by far. Too much fried food. :( I am not looking at the scale for a few more days. Plus I hate the way it makes me feel after I eat that type of stuff

It sounds like you can cook. I'll be over - it's only half way around the world. :(

@iamachris I know what you mean for the after-Chinese-superfried-food... Same here, I also try to avoid eating there, but since it's right atthe ground floor of my condo, when my fridge is super empty I buy some take away Chinese food there... And yes, I have problems falling asleep, I drink tons of water and have a strange belly ache like... Yeah, at least we don't eat that stuff every day! :)

No worries, a person's weight can fluctuate up to 12lbs in either direction on a daily basis (so I have read).

@charles, wow!! 12lbs on a daily basis!?! I believe you and the news per se it's quite shocking.

Depends on a number of factors in my experience: how much you have drank, types of foods you have eaten, how much salt you have ingested...
