1500 mg is for people who need a low sodium diet due to heart conditions, while I believe the max for a 2000 calorie diet is 2400.
Nutrient Unit of Measure Daily Values
Total Fat grams (g) 65
Saturated fatty acids grams (g) 20
Cholesterol milligrams (mg) 300
Sodium milligrams (mg) 2400
Potassium milligrams (mg) 3500
Total carbohydrate grams (g) 300
Fiber grams (g) 25
Protein grams (g) 50
Fat Chol and Sodium are what your max should be and so should aim to be lower.

Hey SammyLoo, if you look at the challenge forum I have an article up there about sodium intake. I had the same question so I looked it up. Hope it helps!

Under 2000mg is a good number to aim for. Based on what you had yesterday, your major sources of sodium were from the subway sub and the teriyaki sauce. While subway is not a horrible choice calories wise, fast food tends to be high in sodium. Lunch meats and breads generally are pretty high in sodium. If you can bring lunch from home, it definitely helps to keep sodium intake down. I know I can make meals at home that have a lot less sodium (and generally less calories) than if I get the same thing that is store bought. Looks like you had leftovers for lunch today which I always think is a good move. Just be sure to drink lots of water on days you have higher sodium intake (if you eat asian foods with soy, soups, etc.) and you'll be fine.

Actually the daily recommended limit is around 2300-2400 depending upon the source you read.
