Good morning all my buddies!!

I am not at work today - I'm waiting for my new cooker to arrive - delivery between 8am and 6pm - which is not terribly helpful, as I am already sitting here thinking I could have had an extra hour sleep - hopefully they are here soon and I can get some things done today, otherwise you find you don't start anything all day in case they arrive. It will be nice to have a reliable cooker :)

It is so nice to have Byron back. He loved New York!! He was so shattered he slept for 14 hours, I don't think they slept much in the last week - too much to see and do lol!

I managed to do a bit more brick work yesterday, so should be able to fill it with soil and set the pond in next weekend - weather permitting. I didn't cover what I did yesterday and it rained last night, so I'm hoping that the mortar sets ok. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do the waterfall, I have a few ideas I'm playing with, but need to set the pond first before I can make a decision.

Have a good day everyone!!

Cooker, hmmm. Now is that a person or a thing? Happy that Byron is back, although it was too quick; travel is exhausting. Can't wait to hear/see the waterfall/pond ideas. You're so creative, Tracy. Have a wonderful day.

Hope the bricks are ok - how exciting, being able to fix your pond next weekend - hope the weather is good so you can do it. New cooker :-).... Or for Helewis maybe called a stove, or range - LOL. I expect the house feels "full" now Byron is back - did he like his studio?

lol Heather I did actually think when I wrote cooker what the US word would be - in Zimbabwe we called them stoves, or you can break it down to an oven and hob - language is just so confusing! Have a wonderful day too :)

Hi Pam - lol yes my house is full again....and untidy again lol! Suitcase unpacked in the dining room....clothes and shoes everywhere....empty cups & dirty plates....wouldn't change it for the world though! He loves his studio and can't wait to use it - we just have to iron the backdrops and then it's ready to roll. I'm really looking forward to finishing the pond - but means hiking a lot of soil from the top of the garden....so will need a good day to do it.

OK new cooker has arrived and been fitted and it's really small...the old one was a 12+ year Cannon and was 54cms wide - now cookers are either 50 or 55cms, so I had to opt for the 50cm one and boy what a difference it makes...my oven pan doesn't even fit...oh well smaller portions it is.....on the plus side the power of the flames just shows how poorly my old one was :)

Ah thank you ladies. I needed that help. Power of the flames is a good plus. Is it gas or electric? 50cm is about 20 inches. So is that a toaster oven or a full range, like apartment sized? I imagine if it were a toaster oven, you'll wouldn't have had it delivered. What will be the first dish you make in it?

Heather it is a really small full range - four gas top rings and then two gas ovens - the bottom one will fit a chicken and the top one will fit toast (so could be classed as a toaster oven!!! lol!!). I am sure I will get used to the new small size, but it seems almost toy like at the moment. I think I will mix up some muffin mix and test its baking abilities that's always a good test. Then I've taken out some fish pies that I make and freeze, so they will need to be baked later. I will say the flames are really impressive...but then I'm easy to please :)
