The last few days have been a blur. My mom's oldest sister - My Auntie - who is 92 is here along with my cousin (from Alabama) - and it's been so good to see them. So many memories. So much love!
My oldest sister, and her two sons are here as well, but with my middle sister. (oldest- lives in Las Vegas, middle lives in CT). She's the one my mom would go to visit when I needed a mini vacation once in awhile.
They are coming here to my home today - and staying thru Friday.
My youngest son, returns from England today. I can't wait to see him, and just put my arms around him and love him. He loved his YiaYia dearly.
This is going to be a longgggg day.
Then tomorrow, my brother and his family will be here early in the morning - and then - we are all going to be together for the day.
Funerals often bring out the best - or worst - in people. It's really a shame that some of these people have to come with 'unfinished' business in their hearts between them and my Mom or Dad, or Both.
Please continue to pray for my family that the stress of these next couple of days do not cause relationships to shatter. THAT would have broken my mom's heart!
I, myself - am doing ok. A lot of tears, alot of memories, alot of smiles and laughter, and a full heart of gratitude that I had the time with her that I did... so grateful that I chose to have her come be a part of my family during these last few years. Something I will forever cherish.
Probably won't be back on now til the weekend.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I will be thinking about you and your family, and hope that no damage is done to relationships . . . . but remember that you are not responsible for that. Just take this time to honor your mother.

Thank you for taking the time to share with your FS family, we love you too and worry about you, pray for you, are with you in spirit. Funerals do indeed bring out the best and worst. Hope there is no storm you cannot weather. I can picture you holding your son, it will do you good, fill you up some because you too need to be held up at a time like this. You are in our thoughts and prayers Paula.

Paula, I am so sorry! I know how hard this is, and my heart just hurts for you. I am praying that all goes well with the family dynamics, that God will hold you and your family close. You have really had a very rough month, and I am praying for God to bring you peace, comfort, and lots of love. HUGS, my sweet friend....love you!
