I overeat and eat to pass the time or because I am bored or sad or angry, basically for any emotion. If I stopped overeating, drank more water, and worked out routinely I believe I would lose large amounts of weight.

Unless there is a medical reason for your weight, you are most likely spot on in your beliefs - the thing is, it is not always that easy! I know what it's like to be an emotional eater and it's not easy to change. Hopefully we have both made a positive step by joining this site though! Good luck on your journey :)
