My weight is now pretty much back to where it was before last weekend's binging. I tried going back through this year's fatsecret food entries to figure out what I need to do to lose weight. I plotted my weekly calories and carbs vs weight loss (I know I'm a nerd) and I was happy because it reinforced my belief in Atkins. While increasing my carb intake in OWL, I could never really tell what my CLL or ACE was because it's hard to analyze day by day, but when I look at all the weeks where I lost more than 1 lb, my avg carb intake was 25g/day and the weeks where my weight didn't change (less than .5 lbs), my average carb intake was 30g/day. I think this is why I can never get past the first rung of OWL regardless of if I start with berries, nuts, or yogurt - because I shouldn't be having more than ~25g carbs! I've therefore decided that I will keep going up the carb ladder, but keep my carbs at 25g. Oh the power of data...

My calories averaged out to be 1770 for weight loss and 1923 for maintenance - not a huge difference, so I'm going to aim low but worry less about calories than carbs.

My measurements are OK:
Arms - 12.5
Waist - 32
Hips - 40
Thighs - 23.75
Calves - 15.75

By body fat % is 37 today according to my scale. Therefore I have 63.7 lbs body fat and a better level is 25% so I should weigh ~142 lbs so I need to lose 28 lbs. I WILL DO IT!
170.0 lb Lost so far: 24.0 lb.    Still to go: 30.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You will get there! You just keep plugging on! You should be proud of yourself. I feel my history has been similar to yours....up a little...down a little...giving up the g and t or diet coke/rum. I really worry I'll have to stay so near the 25 carbs too to lose any weight. I just wonder if that's realistic long term. Even though it isn't the Atkins hope I keep telling myself when I reach my goal I'll go off atkins and maintain but quite honestly it'll take alot of willpower because when I cheat I go all out. I really find it hard to maintain the social life and not participate at all...no drinks...no hor duerves.
