NOW BACK TO REGULAR PROGRAMMING...
The long weekend with the kids was a blast. Lots of good food, great conversations, and time spent with family. Even got to spend a bit of time with baby sis and her brood. My oldest and his wife decided to take her 2 teenagers home with them for the week, so that means we will get to see them again next weekend! YAY!
I did well with the food this weekend, but not so great with the exercise. Not sure about yesterday's steps as I had to take the fitbit off and charge it for several hours during the afternoon, and of course it was when I most active. But today it is back to the regular program. The yard, the house, and the walking. I did manage to get several hours of swimming in, though and that was a plus. Fitbit doesn't measure that activity either. Sure wish they had one that was waterproof that would measure water exercise.
The garden is coming along nicely. Everything is already up and the beans have leaves on them. They have been in the ground exactly one week today, so I am happy. Looks like the garden is going to do well there. My son (oldest) brought us some dried "ghost chilies". They are so hot you can smell them through the seal bags they are in. We are going to plant some seeds in a pot, well away from the garden as they will cross pollinate with the bananas if they are too close. Can't wait to see how they do. These peppers are some of the hottest in the world, so this girl isn't going to be eating any, but hubby and sons love those hot things! I can take some, but these are just waaaaaay too hot! lol
Youngest son came back over yesterday and spent some time, since his Sunday visit was cut short due to the migraine. He was feeling much better.
Well, that's all the news that's fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in your's!
TTFN!

I love your journal title. That pretty much says it all. I did the opposite of you - I stayed active but ate myself silly all weekend. :)

I haven't even looked at my garden to see how it is going. I still have some plants to put into the ground and I better get it done soon. I'm with you on the hot peppers. Like my things a little spicy but once it starts to burn I'll pass.

Hope you are getting a few days to relax now - am sure you did more exercise than you thin BTW - Don't even want to hear about those ghost chilies - my banana peppers are just right for us.

I love your agenda...Back to regular programming...boy, does that bring back memories, fond ones too...along with this last weekend! I didn't do any real excercise, didn't eat anything off plan, just too much of it. My garden is doing better, all my seeds have sprouted...those little seedlings look so darn cute!

DM, I like hot pepper rings, but I already know I am not eating any of these ghost chiles. Hubby says he is going to use some in his chili for the annual chili cook off at church. lol Hope you get the rest of your plants in soon...I know it's difficult when you are dealing with a sick kiddo. Have a great week!

Pam, I always helped my dad when I was a kid. We started gardening again about 4 years ago, as I found that when the kids were small, working in the garden was almost impossible! lol

It sounds great back to regular programming...that is where I know I miss out on my life as talked about in Sandy's journal...I would love to have that in my life, I never know where I am or what I have in store for me, which I feel kinda stops me having a life for me and mine. One of those ah ha moments.....I wish for regular fun programming in my life with lots of good family things. Get my home together and have time to take cooking classes so as not to be so bored with the meals I cook, sounds like a fun thing to do. Take time to work in my garden/yard so I have pretty flowers. Oh how lovely. Thank you Stef for sharing your wonderful day to day life I love it.
