Any good suggestions for high protein, low fat, low carb snacks/add-ons for me? I think I lost better with a few more calories per day and want to increase with proteins.

How about cottage cheese? Or do you already incorporate that into your food choices?

Yes - cottage cheese is a staple of my diet - and has many carbs, though. Nuts have much fat...not sure what would be good.
|
Maybe google "high protien low fat low carb food" and see what you get back.

Yup - will do that...was just hoping my "Buddies" would have some good ideas, too.

Have you tried any soy or whey protein drinks? I usually make a fruit smoothie with powdered soy or whey mixed with unsweetened almond milk and a handful of frozen berries or a banana, they taste like a yummy milkshake so I feel like it's dessert. I'm sure you could get the unsweetened version of the soy or whey too and add stevia as sweetener to keep carbs down.

Ok.. I am good at Veggie sugestions... Tofu or soybean curd, soy milk, mushrooms. Also I know that Egg whites and Chicken Breast are high protein low carb too

I use the whey protein shakes. They do have a bit fat and carbs but the major protien will help balance your diet.

How about turkey jerky? Trader Joe's has some that's really good.

YES - I just thought of that earlier today and plan to get some the next time I go to TJ's. I think it will be the perfect addition that is primarily protein! Great minds think alike, right?

I know you do not want the fat/carbs but, I have found that nuts have helped me greatly as a snack. I started eating them for the fiber, but the protein has helped greatly. Also if you are going to Trader Joe's get the peanut bars, they are very filling. Again, I use them for the fiber.

Great - thanks for all the good suggestions, Buddies!
|
Also, when I need some extra protein, I use 100% Egg Whites from EggBeaters. I just scramble them with a little pepper and add them to my salads!

0% fat plain greek yogurt - fage is best. so versatile. turn it into a veggie dip (add lemon, spices) and go nuts with some carrots and other raw veggies. or mix it with canned tuna, lemon, paprika and pickles for delish tuna salad, or grate carrots, mix a bit with it and add some cumin and coriander.
or just eat it plain! if you need a bit of flavor add some apple butter and cinnamon.
