Aunt LoLo's Journal, 24 May 2012

Well, today hasn't gone exactly to plan. I really tried to be good at lunch. McDonald's had another plan. They put a Big Mac & fries in my back instead of the 2 grilled chicken wraps (going to combine the interior and only eat one wrap)I ordered. I didn't realize it until it was too late to correct the error - UGH! I ended up removing the middle bun, as much cheese as possible and any extra bun on the 2 remaining buns. I ate 4 fries...which for me was a miracle. I LOVE McDonald's fries!

Now I really have no idea what the calorie intake was for that meal. Thankfully, I have a low calorie meal scheduled for supper. I think I should be okay for the day.

I'm no expert, but I don't think one meal of one day is going to throw you off. Just pretend it didn't happen (for this time only) and carry on. You tried - now you know to check the bag next time - because YOU are taking responsibility for every morsel that goes into your mouth. You were there with good intentions - maybe tomorrow you can pack a lunch?? Then you KNOW what's in the bag!! :)

I'm with 5sshj5, forget it happened today (for this time only). With Atkins you can order cheeseburgers and just eat the burger patties. If its good enough for Atkins, then I think you should be all right today. Continue with your diet and exercise as normal, and don't try to punish yourself and make up for it.

Hang in there Lolo. We are going to get through this together. By Christmas we will be down 50 pounds...we will just trust God. We cannot do this by our will powers alone. I think we've proven that we will fail. But God never fails. We have to feed our Spirits God's Word and renew our souls (our minds, wills and emotions). Then we will be victorious.
