THURSDAY...
and it is already warm outside. I have a list of chores on the agenda today, the first of which is mowing baby sis' lawn for her. Then I need to vacuum the pool, and work on the flowers, of course. I think the cherries are close to being ready for picking, as are the black raspberries, so I am seeing lots of fruit and berry picking over the weekend, and that means jelly making time is once again upon us! YAY!!! I love making jellies and jams, and have found some fabulous recipes for Splenda sweetened goodies! But, I digress...I also need to get the garage straightened up and get ready for the holiday weekend! I am hoping that my oldest and his wife will decide to come for Sunday and Monday, since she is off both days.
On the lifestyle front, I am really not seeing much progress as far as the weight goes. I am going to start diligently weighing my foods again, and making sure that I am not getting too many hidden carbs on a daily basis. I have gotten a bit lax with the weighing of my foods, and I fear I may be eating more than I am recording. I am also going to start incorporating more fruit back in. That seems to have been working well last year this time. Of course it took a couple of months for my body to adjust, but it did and I was doing well. Regardless, onward and downward for me! I am taking a page from Buffy's book, and setting some small goals for myself. I am not setting a time constraint, just goals...however long it takes, it takes!
1) Get below 190...is a biggie for me, as I seem to be stuck at 192...I see some upward ticks during the week, but it always settles back to that number.
2) Get to 185...hopefully once I hit that 190, the 185 will follow without much difficulty.
3) Get to 183...this is where I was a year ago July...and I am hoping to be there by the end of July this year. If I am not, I'm not, but it is a goal to aim for.
4) Try to walk at least 5 times a week. There have been weeks where I haven't walked, and when I do, it is more like an amble. I walk with my neighbor, and she takes her dog, and it is not an "exercise" type walk, if you understand my meaning. Not sure how I am going to work this out, but perhaps I can walk with her earlier in the evening, and then do a quick round about a little later, maybe with baby sis. We shall see, and even an amble is better than not moving at all.
5) Use the pool for exercise. I will google some exercises (thanks for the tip, Pam) and start doing them, at least every other day.
6) Journal, journal, journal...I need to do it for myself...it helps to write it out!! When I don't, I start getting lost in my own downward spiral.
Well, that's the game plan...now to just implement it and watch the weight fall off!!! LOL
Now, I am off to read a few journals, before I start my chores for the day. Breakfast is done, journal is done, plan is down on "paper", and coffee is perking me up! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
That's all the news that's fit to print from my corner of the world...hope all is well in your's!
TTFN!!

Journaling is a lot like self-therapy. Writing it down helps to keep things in perspective. Don't forget, put some ME time in your schedule & stick to it & you'll be in the 190's just like That...Poof, there she is!
