IT'S ALL IN...:D

Well, the garden is all planted and now the waiting begins! Can't wait for some home grown tomatoes! I put in 12 tomato plants, a row of green beans, 12 heads of red and green leaf lettuce, 6 Russian red kale, 6 hot banana pepper plants, 4 hills of cucumbers, 2 hills of zucchini, 1 hill of orange flesh honeydew, and 1 hill of sugar baby watermelons. Still would like to set some onions, but we will see how that goes. I also have another 7 tomato plants, but they were looking a little wimpy, so I am feeding them, and if they perk up, I will put them in also. I am so glad it is done!

Went to mom's early this morning, picked up her and the truck, and headed over to St. Louis to get the replacement camper shell window installed. She ordered it the 29th of February and it has taken this long to get it. I am so glad that is done. Then I came back home, had some lunch (didn't have time for breakfast this morning), and we will head back to her house this evening. I told her I would grill her some pork chops for dinner, while we listen to the ball game.

I still have some flowers to plant, and I told baby sis I would mow her grass since her mower is still at the shop. Her's will be back on Saturday, but they are going to be out of town, so won't have the chance to mow until later next week, and the grass is getting really tall.

Food yesterday was good, bbq'd pork chops, pork steaks, and brats. Got my walk in, and ended the day with about 16,000 steps.

Well, that's about all the news that's fit to print from my corner, hope all is well in your's!

TTFN!!

Jess, I can't wait for the tomatoes and zucchini! I love veggies!!!! lol Good thing, since I eat so many! I brought home some winter onions from my dad's garden last night. Going to set those today, after I mow baby sis' yard. As for the fresh tilled dirt bath....yeah my dogs are the same way Luckily the garden area was a flower bed in it's previous incarnation, and has a picket fence with a gate. I told hubby I feel like Mr. McGregor. LOL Have a great day!

Dar, I would gladly swing by and help...but it would take a day or three to get there! lol I bought some already sprouted lettuce from the local farmer's market, along with the kale. I got 2 six packs for less than a dollar each. In would have gotten more bang for my buck with seeds, but didn't want to wait. I may buy some seeds and plant them along side the plants. I need to make myself a scare crow! lol Keep the crows out. Dad always had problems with the birds snipping off the tops of his tomato plants to use for their nests. Have a great day!

wichitaks, I love to garden. I will get the rest of my flowers done by the end of this weekend or my name isn't Stef!!! Today's agenda includes the mowing of baby sis' yard and seeing what I can get done flower wise. Have a great day!

Pam, I can't...but to be fair, I did plant some plants, so it already looks like a veggie garden! :) Have a great day!

Buffy, yes I do...as for the size, it isn't the biggest plot, just chock a block full! lol Only about 16' by 28', but the soil is great, it gets full sun for about 10 hours a day, and should produce a high yield, if the flowers that used to reside there are any indication. Have an awesome day, my friend!

Hey, Ruby...sorry to hear that the weather has returned to yuck...it has been nice here, thank goodness, although some rain, at night, every other day would be great. Think if I place an order for that, it would do any good? lol Have a wonderful week and weekend my sweet friend!!!!
