WOW, IT'S FRIDAY!!!
The days are flying by, and at this rate summer will be over before it even starts! lol Yesterday was spent taking mom to the AFB to get her prescriptions filled and visiting the commissary so that she could restock her larder. We left home at about 9:30 and got home last night at about 5:30...long day. Dan went with and stayed at mom's with her little doggie so that he didn't have to be kenneled all day. When we got back, I helped her put her stuff away (except for dividing the meat), and filled the pill minder. I called and checked on the camper shell window while we were out and about and it is finally in. We have a 9:30 am appt next Wednesday to have it installed. It is in St. Louis, so will need to leave early, but I am so glad it is done. When we got home, I was too tired to walk. Not sure why, but I was beat. Didn't get many steps in yesterday, either. Only about 8,000.
Today will be spent working in the yard. I have a lot to do still. Need to get the veggie garden finished, the rest of the flowers planted, and some trimming to do. I think that my youngest and his wife are coming for dinner tonight to celebrate his being made permanent at GM. He is now a full fledged, card carrying, union dues paying, assembly line worker for GM! YAY!! He is very happy about that, as are we! Not sure yet what honey has planned for food, but I am sure it will be really good!
Did okay with my food while out and about yesterday, but I did over indulge in the cashews. My carbs were a bit high, but that's okay...today will be better!
Well, that's about all the news that's fit to print from my corner of the world...hope all is well in your's!
TTFN!

Hey Stef..you sound like me in the busy department..Running around like that will wear you out..I pulled some weeds this am..it is back
breaking...but it was easier as the ground was wet from the rain of last night..We had a big thunder storm and it rained hard at time and even the power went off for a bit..now its over cast and chilly..and your right the time is just flying by..Enjoy your weekend..Hugs and love to you my dear sista friend....:O)

Bren, it is dry as a bone here. It's either feast or famine. Have been watering, as the plants are really thirsty. The temps are in the 70's-80's, but really chilly at night. I am hoping the ground isn't to hard for my little cultivator to break through! lol Hope your weekend is fabulous! HUGS! xx

My summer is flying by too. Mothers Day is gone and if we blink we'll miss Fathers Day. Lets all take a minute to "stop and smell the roses".

I think I blinked and missed our summer.....it's feast and famine this side of the pond with the rain too....enjoy your gardening Stef :)

Buffy, I agree. Seems like I am meeting myself coming and going these days. Don't know how those who work outside the home do it! There just isn't enough time in the day for all the chores. There used to be, so maybe the hours are not really 60 minutes long anymore...maybe we are losing time. Whatever is happening, I am rapidly falling behind! lol Have a great weekend, and smell some roses! HUGS!

Tracy, it has been the oddest year weather wise. We didn't really have much of a winter, and the early spring was down right hot. Now it is cooled off. Feast or famine...have an awesome weekend!

Summer hasn't even started here yet....don't talk about the end yet, we still might have frost tonight. I've been taking plants in and out for the past week. You are one busy lady.

Yes, Stef, you always seem to have a lot going on. You certainly lead a full life and I'm sure that everyone around you appreciates all of your assistance. I hope you get some rest the weekend and some gardening, since I know that's your solace.

Hey blonde bombshell.;-) Working on your tan huh? What a great daughter your are!!! And all your work in the garden might make a nice drop on the scale. Seems quicker to lose weight in the warmer months than in the winter, doesn't it? Will be wonderful to have things safely in the ground. Thanks for always checking in on me. Have a great time in your garden.:) HUGS!!!

I think your FitBit is off....from the sound of yesterday, you got way more than 8000 steps in! LOL! A trip through the Commissary alone can rack up lots and lots of steps. Anyway, I know I've said it before, but it's so true....your mom is SO LUCKY to have you to help her through all her activities. Don't forget to take time to actually enjoy the gardening you're doing this weekend.

Heather, I have been a real slug today. Haven't done a darned thing except take a shower and go to the grocery store. Just not feeling it, and it was too humid for me to go outside and do anything. But it is cooling off now, so am seriously considering going out and starting the cultivator and seeing how much I can get done before it gets dark. Have a great Sunday.

Cultivator? I hope you just took a rest, Stef. Sometimes we just need a rest.

Hey, Maria...that hair is not blonde, it is white! lol I inherited premature greying (only ours is white) from my mom. I used to dye it, but decided 4 years ago to just let it go. As for the tan...yes I am, but I use a 70 sunscreen when I am outside due to my Lupus. I sure hope to see a nice drop on the scale...this gardening is hard work! lol But it sure is worth it when I start getting those veggies on the table. Thanks for always stopping in to say hello...HUGS!!

Sandy, that's what I thought! lol But that is really the only walking I got done yesterday...the rest of the time was spent driving. I am just glad that I have the time to do those things for her. And believe me, my sisters do more than their fair share also. I got the cultivating done today and that makes me verrrrry happy!! lol

Heather, I did get the cultivator out and got it done...well all but a very small strip that I need to prep a bit more. Then I raked up all the loose stuff, smoothed the bed, and it is ready to plant! YAY!! Felt good to get it done. Up until that point, I was doing a whole lot of nothin'! lol
