SingrGrL922's Journal, 15 May 2012

Well, here I go. I'm ready to get serious with this.

Saturday afternoon found me hiding from Aaron in a PetSmart bathroom, crying because I feel like I'm so fat that I can't find clothes I'm comfortable in.

As far as I can figure, if that's not rock bottom, I don't know what is...

We're waiting on a friend to lend us the Insanity DVDs, and we've already started to make a conscious effort to eat better (and less).

Hopefully, I'll actually be able to stick this one out, rather than having my motivation and desire fizzle out over time, like usual.

Wish me luck!

I hear you. We went on a cruise in February and I bought a nice dress to wear to the fancy dinner they have 2 nights of the cruise. I picked it off the rack just like I have for years but I never tried it on until we were getting ready to go to dinner. The things I've bought in the past always fit. Not this time, the size was way smaller even though the tag said it was my size. I looked like 10 lbs of potatoes in a 5 lb sack. Thank the Lord my sister was on board and had something I could wear. I've been working on this problem ever since we got back. The walking is a BIG help. So chin up and get going. My experience made me get going. You can do it.

Hey! It's good to see you! Don't worry about not being able to finish the race, just appreciate that you are getting started. You can do this because you are a very determined young woman! Sometimes we have to get sick of a situation before we are finally convinced to change it. Sounds like you've gotten started and you will feel better very soon and then you won't want that feeling to end. I love you! "Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming." hehe
