After a week of CRAZY off the wagon eating.....I'm back and ready to make healthy choices. I'm not ready to get on the scale.....but maybe after a few days of healthy eating and giving my body the chance to rid itself of all the water retention and such.......... I have this phobia that I'll get on the scale and have gained back all 10lbs that I worked so hard to get off! If I keep making choices like I did this past week, I surely WILL!!!!

As I always say, today is a new day! Focus on being good today and forget/forgive yourself of the past(week). You can do it!

Thanks Jessa! You are a great motivation this week, since you've been doing so well!!!! I'm focusing on eating veggies, and drinking water today! I have a date with a treadmill at the gym at 2:00PM! It's in the daily calendar and so it WILL happen! ;-)

I did the same thing! It's date night so I want to walk the dog before hubby comes home. I put it in my calendar in the hopes the it won't be raining between 4:30 and 5:15. :-) Positive thinking!

Good for us!!! I KNOW it's going to be raining here this afternoon so that's why I planned for the gym....there will be NO excuses!!!! My poor dog is feeling neglected because it's been raining a LOT here in South Florida the last couple weeks!

I can only walk Conan about once a week. He has bad back knees. But he really wanted to hang outside yesterday so we took him for a drive. He is allergic to grass so we can't just let him out, ya know?

Ok... I know you say you're not ready... but as your friend, your partner in weightloss crime, the very person who wrote the book 'How to fall off the wagon"
I challenge you to get on that scale and face the music!
Avoiding it, is simply condoning your bad choices....

I had a HORRIBLE weekend and although I know with better choices a lot will be forgiven I still go on this am to shock me to reality. Might be water, sodium, etc.... doesn't matter. The good thing is it's not the end unless you want it to be.
Eating as much fresh food as possible, drinking water to help flush what we can!! I have an hour date with the ellip and treadmill myself and hoping to throw 20 min of minor weights in before.
The reality of life is that we are going to fall off now and then, the trick is to get right back on. :-)

This may or may not make you feel better... one time many years ago when I was on Weight Watchers before, I went away for a 3 day girls' weekend at the lake. I decided to throw caution to the wind and just let loose. After all, what harm could one weekend cause? I was prepared for, say, a 5 lb gain. Imagine my shock, fear, amazement, outrage and utter dismay when I got on the scale back home and found that I had gained 17 lbs in 3 days!!!! Yes... 17 lbs!!! Unbelievable. A good chunk came off quickly because there was some serious water retention going on but that was officially the "beginning of the end" for my weight loss journey at that time. The mind bender that gain was threw me off my game completely. So, moral of the story is... don't let yourself get in that same mindset. Whatever the scale says, move on and keep going. And remember, it could have been worse!

OKAY OKAY OKAY!!! I weighed in.....it was 177, meaning UP 4lbs! Not exactly regaining all 10 pounds BUT I have some work to do!!! I'm still hoping that much of it is water weight from eating JUNK food and that after a few more days of "clean" eating it will go down more!
Tammy - Thanks for the "words of wisdom"! Even though I was mad about it all afternoon because I wanted to stick my head in the sand and not know what I'd done. However, I knew you were right and it is now part of my weight loss history and I will move forward, but it will be there as a reminder of what crazy eating binges can do! Maybe I'll think twice the next time, and then choose differently! ;-)
Thynes - It somehow feels better when you know that someone else had a difficult time too. I was actually thinking of you when I got in the gym yesterday. I remembered you saying you had an hour date with the eliptical and treadmill, and it kind of pushed me when I got to the 20 min mark, to just keep going! :) I got in 47 mins on the treadmill and I was just under 3 miles. It wasn't my fastest pace but running intervals were pretty good, and I was sweating!!!! DETOX!!!!! I hope you had a good workout too!
Evelyn - EVELYN! EVELYN! EVELYN!!! Finally someone who can truly understand me! I ALSO did something very similar and when I tell the story people look at me like I'm crazy or stretching the truth. I was dieting to look FINE on my 15 year wedding anniversary cruise (my first cruise ever!) and while I was away rum punch was the "water" of the week, along with whatever I felt like eating, and when I got back and went for my weigh in I had gained 14 lbs!!!! My diet counselor was mortified! BUT....it did come off by the next week, well at least the majority of it. I think I was really only up by 3 lbs or something like that. The 14 lb number is what sticks to my mind! LOL! So that is why I fear when I go on an eating binge that I could have gained 14 lbs!!!! It made me feel much better this morning to find it was 4 lbs, but still that's ground I now have to reclaim! I'd much rather be battling NEW ground!!!! ;-)
Thanks everyone for the "pep talks" yesterday!!!! I'll try to do the same for all of you when you need it too! ;-)
