I am trying so hard. my biggest obsticle is exercize. I have supper bad knees, I need a knee replacement, but to get it i must loose weight. I have severe tendinitis in both elbow, and was told not to lift heavy weights. so as you can see my exercize is limited to maybe swimming. and i have no pool.

Lost so far: 6.0 lb.
Still to go: 49.0 lb.
Diet followed reasonably well.

There are other things you can do. Check out amazon for upper body workouts. You can actually work up a sweat with just using the upper body. You don't have to exercise to lose weight. You may need to really tweak your diet and calories though to get the weight off. Exercise helps as you get older to get and keep the weight off. But it's important to get the weight off. Hopefully, it will help your knees too. Maybe check out a local Y and see if they have a pool. Many have exercise classes you can do in a pool and it may be worth the cost.

Also, you don't need heavy weights. Some light hand weights are a great way to start.
