billsteele777's Journal, 11 May 2012

Okay, frustration abounds for me. I am seeing some loss in weight, but it is very slow. Much, much slower than i would have expected. I am seeing the regular kind of loss if I were simply on a low calorie diet. It's as if the HCG isn't doing anything.
Now my friend is having amazing results this round, and seemingly the only difference is the fact that he is also on Testosterone therapy. That seems to be a huge factor. And while I am behind the loss curve by about 9 lbs, I am still losing, so I am hopeful.
I am taking the HCG every other day in hopes that we can continue the protocol a little longer.
I have added some chicken and other protein sources into my diet, so I am not exclusively on Egg Whites. Yea!
So I know that my body was at the 202 weight for a very long time, many years, and I really think it is about my body renegotiating a new position. I am hoping that is done, and I will see the weight start falling off more quickly.
The other thing is that I tend to be more stopped up on this diet. Tim is very "loose" but I am not. I know that does affect the morning weights, so I have also started weighing in the afternoon, hopefully after having a good bowel evacuation.
I am still committed, so we will continue to track what happens.

Greetings - I don't know much about the HCG protocol- but looking at your food journal tells me you likely are not getting enough calories. The less we eat, the more the body holds onto fat because it believes we are in a starvation mode - weird huh? Another though is to increae your water and fiber intake. Your sodium is low so that is good. Fiber should be 25 or above and they say to drink anough ounces of water daily to equal half of your body weight! So for you around 12 cups per day. It is amazing how much it helps with loss. Good luck to you!

I have to agree with HCB. Your calorie count is WAY under 1000 and that will stop everything. You NEED AT THE VERY, VERY, VERY LEAST 1200 calories a day and even a lot more then that being a man. Most men can eat 1800 a day and still loose quickly! I agree more water would help too with the constipation as well as fiber. Which you get from the flax I saw in a meal or two of yours. Try chia or hemp seeds instead. You do not have to ground them up like you do flax and you can add it to everything (1 tsp) and in a few days you will run smooth as silk with the water! LOL! Check out your friends food chart. I bet you he is eating more calories then you OR he has more weight to loose then you. that could be one reason he is loosing faster. Good luck. Hope all goes well!
