Hey all not sure what has happend my tom was last week so not due to that i have stuck to plan all week and exercised twice, anyway still 1 tone 2lb lighter that start of the year and can tell i have lost weight, also dh and little lady have commented. So will continue in my quest to be slim and stick to plan as usual difficult 2 weeks ahead with no exercise and party etc, will keep the calories the same for a couple of weeks and if i continue then to gain or stay the same i will drop them, maybe because of the big 9lb loss in the 1st week my body is just adjusting, got lots to do today school run hairdressers with little man shopping and doctors dh is also off today and in charge of the kitchen all weekend so will get to eat with him tonight yay. Bring it on i am ready for it all, hope you all have a fab day :0)

:-(. What a bummer... It's difficult when this happens. I think we would all rather loose consistently, than loose lots, then gain a little because of it. I would imagine it is water weight - particularly if C and J have noticed you have lost. Also.... Whenyou weighed in the last couple of times they may have been "low" days. Weight does fluctuate from day to day. Have you taken your measurements? This is sometimes a better indication, of how you are doing. I would say it may be muscle, because of the exercise - but don't think you have done enough, for long enough to put it down to that LOL. You are wise not to panic - keep at the same level of calories, if you put on next week, I would drop; if you stay the same, keep at the 1800 - the only problems the injection you are having may influence your weight - in water retention terms. ....... Just some additional thoughts. 1.Did you drink enough water yesterday? Lack of fluid will make your body keep hold of water. 2.Were you heavy on the carbs yesterday? they sometimes bloat you. 3.Was your food a bit heavy on the salt? Which would retain water. All of the three things are "water" based..... NOT fat based. Logically, you cannot have put on 2 pounds of FAT, if you are sticking to 1800 calories. It would mean, you would have had to have consumed 7,000 extra calories (or 1,000 per day). So....... It is water weight - maybe the last couple of weeks you have been a bit dehydrated OR maybe today you are retaining water. Either way, it's NOT fat. :-)

Just had another look at your menu for yesterday.... And looked at the carb -v- protein (I can't say exact, cause I don't know your serving sizes or brands) Bran flakes - 24 Grms Carb; 2.8 Grms Protein 8 tspns sugar - 23.3 Grms Carb; 0 Grms Protein 1pt skimmed milk - 30.4 Grms Carb; 20.5 Grms Protein 2 slices w.thin ham - 0.3 Grms Carb; 1.6 Grms Protein 2 slices bread - 25.3 Grms Carb; 3.8 Grms Protein Banana - 27.0 Grms Carb; 1.3 Grms Protein Potato Wedges (100grms) - 20 Grms Carbs; 2.5 Grms Protein. Peas (50grms) - 6.9 Grms Carb; 2.6 Grms Protein. Fishcake - really can't judge as I don't know what went in them, or if you bought them. Rich Tea Biscuits - 14.2 Grms Carb; 1.4 Grms Protein I shall have to save this as I can't see it all to add up - so see below

I think that makes 171.3 Grms Carb; 36.5 Grms Carb. If your fish was tilapia and approx 100grms it will have 0 Carbs and 20.8 Grms Protein. Then of course you have any binding agent of additional bits you put in the fishcake, which will add to both. So that will still only boost your protein up to .57.3 Grms Protein (possibly less if you didn't have 100 Grms or had a different fish. So basically you are having a 3 to 1 ratio of carbs to protein. if you had eaten that chocolate muffin, it would have added approx 28.8 Grms of Carbs and 5.0 Grms of protein.... With that amount of carbs in your diet yesterday - it would almost certainly influenced the scales. The ballpark recommendation is 40-60% Carbs, 40-45% Protein, 15-20% Fat.... most people agree that lower the carb % and upping the Protein % is better for weigh loss. Just something to bear in mind - it's not always just calories you need to think about..... Don't stress about it though LOL.... Just look at carb and protein Grms on foods and build your knowledge.

just had salmon fillet new potatos brocolli and sweetcorn for tea was scrummy weighed it all out earlier on. oh forgot to mention terrible person that i am i have consumed 1 bottle of white wine it was going down so nicely and still within my calorie intake altho this is very un-normal of me. Have sorted out calories for tomorrow and made sure dh understands everything, i am having 2 grilled slices bacon 1 toast 1 egg 100g beans 50 gr mushrooms, lunch is 100gr cooked chicken in a roll and tea they are having steak and kidney pudding which is a no no for me so i know i only had it the other day but easy to work calories out i am having thai fishcake again to ease complications in the kitchen!!! have a good night all i am hoping my foot will ease tomorrow, i asked the doctor about my painkillers and he said not to take more than the prescribed dose which i dont and to exercise lose weight and do golf ball rolling under my foot, all of what i am doing now so hopefully all the effort i am putting in will pay of. Hope all my buddies are having a lovely evening :-)

Salmon sounds scrummy ..... My favourite........ so are Thai Fishcakes. Because you mentioned them in your journal, it made me fancy them - so we had them tonight and they were lovely. Hope your foot is feeling better :-) Breakfast sounds good - I think I may get some bacon out of the freezer ready for tomorrow :-). Oooops... A whole bottle of wine... While taking painkillers!!! ... I expect you feel very relaxed now :-)
