The last several days have been crazy. Good because we hosted a cookout for about 30 people and hosted 5 people for the weekend. I baked 3 cakes and enjoyed some pieces on Saturday and Sunday. The rest of the food was low carb, so it was no problem, though the quantity I ate in combination with the cake, I'm sure, got be totally out of ketosis. As of yesterday I'm back on track, severely limiting carbs to help get ketosis back.

I have no idea what I weigh though. My scales are possessed by a demon- :) -for whatever reason they are not working, and have been that way for nearly two weeks. I step on them and I've either gained 80lbs, lost 60lbs or it just says, "Err." I've changed batteries twice already, and for the last one I went to the store and purchased it brand new, so the problem is not the battery. I'll get a new scale when I go back to town and then I can weigh in. I know my weight was up because I was also experiencing edema in my legs and feet, and still have some water retention, I believe, in response to the carbs. But I expect it to all dissipate as I get my system back on track.

I thank the Lord for blessed opportunities to be with family, near and far, for occasions to endulge without condemnation in the sweetness of all things, and for His continual working in my life for my good and for the good of those He puts around me; to love me and for me to love. PTL!!
