When we receive fruit from the Spirit we've been given a taste of heaven. As we receive supernatural assistance from Jesus we're being given a taste of heaven. When we receive a miracle we've tasted heaven!
There is no TIME in heaven. Things work differently there.
"Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going." John6:16-21
Time is such an indicator of our human carnal existance. In the scripture above we read of an example of how Jesus altered time and "immediately" the boat crossed the sea (not to mention that He could suspend gravity to.) The disciples in the boat experienced a taste of life in heaven!
As awesome as God's eternal heaven is going to be, God never intended for us to live in a separate carnal life. We are to be existing and feeding on the fruits of heaven continually--not existing on tastes and samples.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:25-33
