Now, I admit that Jess's article about Zeddie Little intrigued me enough to find out what all the hubbub was about, so I did a search. I didn't find anything particularly interesting about him, but another link on that page sure did grab my attention. This certainly puts a new twist on saying goodbye.
Outrage as Egypt plans 'farewell intercourse law' so husbands can have sex with DEAD wives up to six hours after their death

Trying to apply this law to my life...not sure I would notice any difference.

Haha; this is certainly absurd, and even if not true, has got to be an indication of just how insane the world has become. When Jess said she would never give up sex, she was talking about while she was still alive, right? Right?

Ryan, you're a brave man!

OMG.... This would be funny, if it wasn't so disgusting..... and unfortunately indicative of life for some women, in these countries. I am so grateful I was born in a society that 'in the main' treats women as "human beings" - notice I didn't say a 'civilised' society - I can't say that, with all the abhorant things, that you hear going on in our so called 'civilised' countries.

I saw this article yesterday and it blew my tiny mind. I was more astonished by Rpalmst's comment! Dude!

I must not be a feminist, in fact I know I'm not. But what does it matter? She's dead. They were married. The law wouldn't say let any man who wants to rape a corpse go ahead. Don't get me wrong, I don't understand how you'd WANT to have relations with something that was beginning to decay...Anyone seen Weekend At Bernie's? A classic movie with necrophilia, or Clerks is another. In both cases the dude was dead. THAT I don't understand!!!

And yeah, I wouldn't give up sex alive. Dead...I don't care I guess if my future husband wants one last go at it.

So, how does that work? The Coroner pronounces her dead, and you turn to the Coroner and say, "Could you give us a moment?" Yeah, I wouldn't think there was much of a relationship going on there, if you could do that. I met a girl in the Philippines that told me she was fired from her job in a mortuary because she had sex with one of the corpses. I thought it was pretty repulsive then, and I don't think I care too much for this idea either.

Ok. I'm just going to go ahead and ask the question that everyone wants to know. How is that possible for a woman to have sex with a dead guy?? I mean, when he's dead, how is there any blood flow to the nether region to make this possible? Or are all of the male corpses pitching tents under those white sheets??? Someone please enlighten me. They don't show that on CSI or NCIS.

I'm not up on Egyptian political infrastructure, but doesn't legislation have to be tabled, debated, amended, and then voted upon before it becomes a law? How does one table this proposal, defend its merit, and then have elected officials vote (and pass it) it into legislation? Clearly there must have been a longstanding debate about this act and the overwhelming support to make it legal to perform this act without fear of prosecution. I understand the emotional bond between couples, but sex after death...I don't get the attraction.

Rigor makes some sense, but I would think things would stay in their "resting" position???

In all fairness, and judging from the ads and articles surrounding this one, I would say that this paper is similar to the National Enquirer - so give the article the credence you think it deserves. The article does mention skepticism about whether the panel will even consider adding this to their constitution. In Judean law, it is unclean to touch a dead person; I don't know anything about Islamic law concerning this topic.

Ok, Tglenna; guess I'm going to have to get graphic here. :) If you work in a mortuary, you have the ability to put something in the position you want . . . and wait.

Well, consider me enlightened! I had no idea.

LOL! Yeah, I don't think this morbid fetish stuff is confined to males. As far as that girl in the Philippines goes, who in the world is going to own up to something like that, unless she really was into that sort of thing? She was pretty spookey!

I had no idea either DK.... Mmmmm .......so when I get even older, and things go even more south. The mortician will be able to "lift and separate" everything..... I will probably look better dead, than alive LOL.
