Somehow today's couple's therapy session with my boyfriend turned into the "Elise Isn't Eating Enough" Talk Show Hour. I've been feeling adult lately, sleeping twelve hours a day, crying really easily, and for some reason this is getting blamed on dieting. It didn't help that our therapist turned out to be a part-time nutritionist who agreed that I should be eating at least 1500 calories a day.
They did bring up the idea of anemia, though, which I think has merit. I've dramatically cut down on the amount of red meat I'm eating, and I was anemic before that. My digestive tract doesn't absorb nutrients properly, so even when I was eating red meat four times a week, I was anemic--both iron and B-12. My boyfriend just went through a list of iron-rich foods and we agreed I would try to start eating at least one of them every day. Hopefully that will help. And I'll give in a eat 1500 calories a day. Maybe losing two pounds a week is just more than my body is ready to do.

I have been cutting my calories and I have noticed that I have become more easily annoyed with people and often am short with my wife and kids more often. Just wanted you to know this can cause your mood to change, and you are not the only one it happens to, hope that helps.

Ditto what lord torso said, just insert husband for wife. To help with the munches I've developed a taste for berry Propel Zero. It has a smiggen 4% of b12. Miss Elise, is that you in the yoga pictures? I have enjoyed the workout so much that a made a binder of the exercises.
