WOW... what a weigh-in! I can only laugh at this one. :) Actually, it's a pretty positive, hearty laugh, though I did gain 1.4 kgs over the last 24 hours.

I am all the way up to 79.8 kgs. I do think I know why, and I'm not the least worried about it. It's in no way a fat gain, just a lot of food processing.

I ate like a pig yesterday. I was home from work, basically took a day out of the calender to rest and reboot, and I did. I did absolutely nothing all day, but sleep, eat, drink tea (not coffee!) and watch TV.

I set out on a new mission - no coffee or chocolate (and other sugar candies) for a while. I think I need to detox from these. Yesterday was Day One and I did pretty good.

I could tell that I had withdrawals from it - and I compensated by eating non-sugar things. I felt like I ate ALL day, but knowing what I ate helped me a lot, so there is absolutely no guilt to be found. I did fine, stayed within my RDI and all.

So, really, who cares about the weight gain? It'll come off again. Sure, there won't be a new low for Saturday, but I can live with that.

Last night, I slept better. I gave in at 7:30PM and went to bed. I woke up again around midnight, because I had to use the rest room. Then, I was awake for quite a while and it feels like I woke up a lot of times through the morning hours, but I am not sure if I really did. I do feel somewhat rested, and that's a good thing. This weekend, I hope it'll be better too.

Tonight is music night with the guys, and we usually stay out late. I hope this will make me more tired, and give me a good night's sleep. Also, I will NOT have any coffee, of course. Normally, I drink a LOT of coffee while playing music. This time I'll stick to tea and a lot of water. I'm curious how that'll affect me.

Today, I will be going to work at 6 AM to compensate somewhat for the time I took out yesterday. Yesterday put my comp time down with 9 hours, so I gotta work a little to get it back. It sucks, but I needed it, and I do think it was worth it.

Today, I'm thankful for
- sleep!
- good tea! (Salute!)
- wife taking good care of me. Love you babe!
- Friday Friday Friday!

Life is good!

I'm glad the day of rest worked! It's wonderful to feel ready to face the day. Have a great jam session tonight and good luck on the new mission.

Good call on the mental health day. Sometimes they can be such a life saver, and even when there are negatives to deal with they're still worth it. Hope you have a good day and the cravings aren't out of control.

Good job Kingkeld taking care of yourself! Its good we have good jobs and the ability to do that. I had eggs/ham/toast for breakfast, I think I will start calling it a "Kings Breakfast" after you. My belly is full.

JP - I love that name "King's Breakfast". I might use that too. However, I do eat rye bread in the mornings, not toast bread. It's much more filling.

I am taking a much needed day off today, I have worked the extra hours and some, so it's nice to have a day to myself. I plan to have a great workout and clean my car, other than that...nothing AAAHHHHHhhhhh. Hope your sleeping pattern gets back to normal soon :o)

King, we were actually out of bread, so I had white rolls. I know, not good, but it worked for me. She usually keeps rye bread around, but the rye bread here has no visible rye seeds, and not much of a rye flavor. She says that's what we usually eat, but I cant tell! lol. I will ensure that is added to my "Kings Breakfast".

Glad you had a good rest and managed to delete coffee and sweet things, from your diet yesterday, without too many symptoms :-). Wow.... Weight is certainly erratic, how odd.... I shall be interested to see what happens over the next few days... Are you doing your "indulgence" day this week?

Great for music, great for sleep, GREAT for no coffee or chocolate. Have another great day today, Keld.

SkInny, I AM doing my Indulgence Day this week - I feel that I need one to stay sane. I will, however, try to stay true to the no choc and no coffee on Saturday too. Let's see how it goes. :) I may dig into some ice cream or something, I dunno.

I'm with you on the coffee thing. I gave up that and chocolate. But before I knew it I ate cookies that had chocolate in it and indulged way too much. Ooops, but that's behind me and I'm back on track. No more. Good luck with giving those up. From my experience this is no easy task. I'll keep you motivated, even when I'm barely making it myself =)

Wow what awesome progress. Congrads! With the sleep thing, I have been taking melatonin for several years now, just before bed, along side 4,000 IU of vitamin D. It has made and AMAZING difference in my sleep patterns. Thought I woudl toss it out there in case you want to give it a try!

Thanks, Skeinbabe. I will definitely check that out. Never heard of it. I will make a note and look into it, see what it's all about.
