What a stupendous day! :) I love trying out words that I haven't used in a while. My word earlier this week was Spiffy! Now you say it. Doesn't it just make you smile?
First: Thank you to everyone for the wonderful comments! It's astounding to be mulling over a thought and get such amazing feedback. Gives me something to think about as well as boosting me up higher than clouds.
Today I only slept in until 5:30. I am a happier person when I get up earlier, weird but true. Found a free parking spot relatively close to work. It is payday! I always underestimate the amount of money I'm going to receive as a budgeting safety-net. Plus it's like a wonderful gift to get more than I planned. :) That's one less bill and a little bit to splurge.
I gathered my courage and took phone calls today. I did a darn good job if I do say so myself. It's a perfect way to end the work-week too, because now I'm just itching to get back there and try it again.
I had my food planned out so well today and then changed plans all over the place. I packed enough for both lunch and supper today. Then I got invited out to lunch repeatedly, so I gave in. :) Licorice International across the street had a free tasting day, so two of us dragged some co-workers over there on break and enjoyed some Kookaburra and some Trolledrop. This time when 5 o'clock hit, I went with the crowd to the bar. I'm happy I'm finally getting to know some more of my peers. Our Monty Python movie night was a good time too. They bought $200 worth of pizzas/salads/treats. I cheated here too and had pizza instead of my packed dinner. Overall, I wasn't too far off my calorie goal! Sadly my diet is for health rather than weight-loss so I shouldn't cheat, but I'll totally bounce back.
I heard from several friends today that I don't normally- always a happy thing. Received an old music video too from a friend too. Here's some nerd rap. (I shut it off after the first minute or so... it's just too much.) [
I'm almost glad of the blizzard tonight. Now I can catch up on all the articles posted on FS that I've been saving to read/write about later. Just a weekend to snuggle with my pup and get some little things done.
