Feeling excellent today, if a little tired.

Clothes are even starting to feel loose today. Amazing after only 5 days. Going to try and hold out until Monday to weigh myself.

While I was in the shower this morning I was thinking about my diet history. I've always tried to lose weight very quickly and have been successful (in the short term) doing it that way in the past (losing 70lbs in 4 months about 2 years ago) but like most, the weight came back quickly either because the diet was unrealistic or through some biological mechanism*.

I live and work in Seoul, South Korea and for the last 5 months I have been studying Korean at a university 3 nights a week. At first my progress was slow, and even up until last week I thought I wasn't improving, however this week something changed and I've started remember vocab and grammar that I learned a while ago, and I've started talking to as many people as I can. Consequently I have seen that by taking my learning and studying slowly and by having consistency my Korean has really improved a lot. Even my boyfriend has noticed (he's Korean) and is really happy with my progress.

Now this kind of ongoing development is what I should be applying to my weight loss. By taking it slowly, setting myself goals (I think a goal every 3 months is realistic), eating well and enjoying life I will succeed. So if there's anyone living in Seoul and wants to meet up, let me know!
