Hopefully you another way to get around, not having your car is an aweful feeling especially if that car is paid for!! I think you should do whatever YOU want to do for Thanksgiving, whatever is gonna make you the most happy. Sounds like you have alot going on and alot to deal with right now. Hang in there!!

I used to go into the city every year for Thanksgiving because I was in the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. I don't remember because I was to little, but my father said it was hell doing it every year!! I say stay home for Turkey day, and go out there another weekend.

Sorry about your car - sounds like you're settling in well though. Nearly the weekend... yeah!

I am so sorry about your car! I opt for Thanksgiving in NYC. Wish I could go back. Loads of fun and the added bonus of family!

The city is a 4 or 5 hour trip - I guess we would take the train with my mother out of Boston. I do have another car - daughter crashed our third car, but one of my friend's lent me his mother's car - she is deceased as of September of this year and he hasn't gotten rid of the car yet.

Hmm. I say stay home and be cozy with your family unless the weather is supposed to be amazing. $5,000?? Brutal! So sorry.

Sorry to hear about the car. As for Thanksgiving do what is truly in your heart without any "shoulds" or what you think others want you to do. :) Your heart will always steer you right! :)

I vote for the "cozy" Turkey Day and then some adventurous travel. Enjoy! I will buy you a new car - "want I should?" I have not used that expression in a long time. My sister often said it when we were kids.. "Want I should" brush your hair? "Want I should" share my cupcake with you? "Want I should" trade my paperdolls with you? Strange how memories come back to us. Anyway!
