Is there a checkmark for "paid absolutely no respect to diet and drowned self in miniature Mr. Goodbars" this week?
Why are all of the candy and food holidays so close together? It makes October-April the worst months of the year. I mean, Halloween candy, thats great. A pumpkin full of Halloween candy, now thats even better. Then you can shovel in a few pumpkin pies for the one holiday where family members have eating contests to see who gains the most (Thanksgiving), and then there is Christmas, which is just the five-alarm fire of bad eating. If shoveling off your car when its -40F outside and pitch black in the morning doesn't justify that donut/hot chocolate/Christmas candy/cookie then you're a much more disciplined eater than I am. And if a sock full of candy isn't good enough, you only have to wait a handful of weeks until Valentine's day... and then Easter, where instead of a sock or a pumpkin full of candy, you get a basket. Handles. Portable candy stash.
Tell you what, nothing makes me feel better sitting here in my apartment when the radiators haven't kicked in than eating a bowl of hot dish/casserole/other regional term. Fantastic. End rant.
Also, I ate pizza four times last week. Once was drunk eating, twice was free, and once was delicious. I didn't even suggest it. It isn't my fault that Savoy is open until 3am on Halloween.
On a side note, I figure I'll go as a Chipotle burrito next year for Halloween.
