BUMMER!! I had not compared the 2 calorie wise but one reason my be portion. Several months ago when friends were visiting with their baby, we were both preparing breakfast for our little ones. I give my son low sugar oatmeals and their son (a finicky eater) only liked a flavor that happened to be regular. Well point is, I had the water boiling and poured each packet into a bowl and saw an immediate difference. My sons low sugar oatmeal bowl had MUCH more actual oatmeal in it. The packets weighed the same but because the sugar weighs so much the packet in turn contained less oatmeal. HTH :)
