There are gains on any diet you can do on. Our bodies are made up of 60% water so just having dinner out (even if you are on plan) can make a person gain from too much sodium in the diet. Sore muscles from exercise, stress, medications, lack of sleep, etc. can all effect the scale. Your body might also have a cycle of losing and gaining a little, losing and gaining a little. You just have to stay committed and push through. Exercise can also help push you through those times.

Thanks for the perspective - I'm definitely sticking with it - just hard to see that scale bounce. I had 7 months of "traditional" diet and exercise under my belt that hadn't really ever gotten me anywhere. I just kept losing and gaining the same couple of pounds. So, I was excited when the scale started moving in the "right" direction this time and the bounce was so discouraging. But. I know you're right - so many little things can affect the body, especially when it comes to water retention.
I will hold steady and keep pushing forward - and definitely keep getting my exercise in. I feel SO much better when I exercise. :)
