I'm down 1lb. again!!!! Like so many people I do well during the week but weekends get me.
So, I'm fed up with not sticking to the plan and giving in, to just a bite. Although this weekend I really didn't eat hardly anything it was the Margarita's that got me and the beer....
Too many good parties in the summer. This week my plan is to spend more time walking, taking the work breaks spending that time walking, twice a day plus hitting the gym and not letting my husband have an excuse for me not to go. I have worked out almost all of my adult life, actually since I was 16 and now more than ever I need it. The older I get the more things put me out of breath. So here's to a healthier heart and sticking to the plan. I found my weakness! WEEKENDS!!!! So now what am I going to do about them. Not sure! I will think all week on that one. Maybe it's more planning.

I am the same way when it comes to weekends. That's why I deceided to move my weigh in day to Wednesday instead of Monday. It gives me a buffer to at least try to redeem myself if I do happen to do poorly on the weekend. When I was actually a WW member, my weigh in was Wednesday anyhow. That's not to say I am giving myself license to get wrecked every weekend..but those are the two days (especially in the summer) that I am more likely to "misbehave" when it comes to watching what I eat and drink. During the week, I am so busy with work and actually go to the gym. On the weekends..it's basically hanging at the pool and hanging with neighbors (with some yard work in there for good measure).

Awake - I totally agree. You know I think I'm going to do weigh in on Wednesdays as well because it's depressing to weigh in first thing on Mondays. I'm not gonna die during the summer there is way too much fun on the weekends and so much to do and I enjoy my drinks when I'm with friends, by the pool hanging out in the yard whatever I'm doing. I just have to make modifications to adjust for it. Maybe I need to get an early morning walk in those days to accomodate. Thank you for your support.

Weekends are my weakness too. I've been doing generally worse on the weekends but not as bad as I would have a few months ago, so it is still an improvement. I try to make sure to exercise Saturday and Sunday to help out with the points. I'm going to try chewing gum when I go to parties, so I don't graze on food.

I always joke around with my older brother, because he is always commenting on "winter weight". He gets snow from November through March and ends up gaining because he isn't as active. I tell him I do worse in the summer because I am always "hanging out" and having a good time. That is my pitfall. I just think a mid week weigh in is more sensible for us "weekend warriors", lol.

Weekends are definitely a challenge to stick to eating healthy. Good job staying motivated instead of letting it get you down. With all of life's complexities, it's amazing how we can let something as simple as bad foods veer us off the path of good health. Here's a quote (from a vegan teenager, lol) I always keep in mind when I'm tempted with bad foods, "Dude, it's only food. Deal with it." lol

Pking - that's funny "it's only food deal with it". What a great way to look at it. Thank you!
