I started Zumba classes last Monday. We had the second class yesterday and I'm feeling pretty good. I noticed last week that, while I'm not sore, my muscles fatigue more easily after Zumba. I need to take care to give my body time to recover.
At home, I've started taking my hubby for walks becasue he's concerned about his blood pressure and cholesteral. We've done two walks and our goal is 4 15-minute miles or better. We both feel it afterwards.
I've also added drop-downs (the reverse of pull-ups) to my at-home work. I can only do three at this point, but I can feel their impact in my arms and back. They are hitting some of the spots that I've been having trouble targeting.
The mirror says that I'm becoming more fit even if the scale isn't moving much, but I still want to lose this all-over layer of padding that bulges over waistbands and around bra straps. It's annoying! And I don't want to resort to Spanx - I want to be comfortable in my skin alone.
