So proud of myself today I remembered to pack a lunch. I brought raw veggies and leftover lentils and brown rice from the cabbage rolls I made. Cabbage rolls were really good by the way. My sister said she could have done without the tomato sauce and the girlfriend said she liked the inside but left the cabbage. Anyway I digress. What I learned today about lentils and brown rice is they are pretty bland but accept flavoring very well. Also I don't know which comes first whether they fill you up or you just get tired of chewing. It was a very good meal either way.

treat lentils like chili - and mix in chili powder and some broth. Then put them on top of the rice. It's really good.

Add chopped spinach to the lentils while they are cooking for extra fiber. I like to add cumin powder, turmeric, and paprika, along with black pepper or red pepper. Anything you like. Sriracha sauce or Tabasco or Louisiana Hot Sauce can be served at the table for anyone who likes it.

Thanks guys! :D Love hot food! I'm not sure I would need the extra fiber. I'm pretty sure lentils and rice a fiber bomb all by themselves, and that's all I'm gonna say about that. lol
