Ok, here I go again. After trying the stupid atkins diet and gaining back twice what I lost, I am trying point counting - weight watcher, but unofficially. The difference this time is that everyone in my office (everyone who is over weight, that is)is going on a diet at the same time. So, I have big hopes this time. Maria

The most important aspect to weight loss is the realization that this is for life and you will forever have to watch what you eat. If you go back to your old way of eating, it will come back on no matter what diet you do. A diet needs to be sustainable for the long haul and you have to have your head in the right place. Check out a book on amazon.com (look at reviews) called "Becks Diet Solution". It's not a diet book, but a book that helps you change your behaviors and the way you think about food. If everyone else falls off their diet, you can still stay on yours. Weight Watches is a great plan that teaches moderation in all foods. Good luck!
