Good day yesterday canoeing, however with the dry weather the river level was down so more a lazy river trip. Instead of rushing water, rapids etc. We paddled the entire 9.5miles!! We still had fun in the water, chasing carp in the shallows, finding turtles, water fights. It was a fun 5 hour trip instead of 2.5 hours when there s a currant. Tired, sore muscles, awesome workout!! surprisingly I'm not very sore this am.

Late start this am, the kids slept in. We are off to a cave tour, who knows what else, a detour on the way home to go to Truman Dam. 4 of the kids have never seen a big dam and are interested in seeing what is creating Truman Lake that they swim in and fish on with their uncle.

Sitting on the front porch with an omelet and coffee, enjoying the quiet in the woods before our adventures begin today waiting on 5 kids showers, breakfast, and getting things together for our day. That takes awhile....Eating mindfully but drank too much beer last night. Will go back to no alcohol after the weekend.

No disposable camera, smart didn't have any, no cave photos, cameras were banned in that cave. Awesome and interesting cave. We carried little led lanterns that were shaded. No big lights in the cave to protect the endangered no light living creatures. Instantcrazy, I live outside of Kansas city. Missouri is an interesting state, like most are if you explore. My DD lives on the edge of the Ozark mountains and adjoining a lake.

We didn't get to the dam, gramma took a wrong turn leaving the cave. Kids decided they would rather go back to my DD's house and swim in the pond. It was later than expected so headed back. Nice evening on the deck with old friends and family. Kids want to do this next year, so will try. Would do a different river.
