Dentist appointment this morning before work, so I'm working later today. Ugh. I forgot about that, and I want to get my relish started tonight, so hopefully I'll have time to get at least a short workout in and maybe my son will play some Kinect with me tonight too while the relish is in the canner. I did get a 2.5 mile run last night with the hubby and got some potatoes dug up, so I at least burned a few calories and didn't really do a whole lot of sitting on the couch.

My eating still needs some work. After everyone left from the weekend, we realized they all left food. So we have a gallon bucket of ice cream in the freezer, and my daughter made a small batch of chocolate chip cookies, darn it!! Luckily the rest of the day I haven't been doing too bad, but those snacks in the evenings aren't good. If I can only stick to a serving size of ice cream it's not so bad, and luckily the cookies are about gone and I haven't eaten too many. Eating right is definitely the hardest part of this for me. I can tell myself all day that it's not worth it to eat ice cream, or if I have a piece of fruit it will taste just as good, but I just can't seem to find the will power to stop myself from digging in to that ice cream. Well I guess that's something to work on.

I hope everyone has a great Thursday!!

Do what your co-workers do and take the cookies into work. Lol! I have the same weakness for ice cream. We are fighting the battle together.

Janet- I've been up and down so much the last few years, but I haven't gotten all the way back up. It's been a struggle and it seems like this year has been really hard. Initially it took me about 7 months to get from about 143 to 129-130, and I only stayed there a couple of months before the holidays hit and took me back up about 5 pounds. I've managed to stay under the 140's, but I'm having a hard time staying under 135. Some days I have great will power and other days I don't, but I'm choosing to stick with it because I know how easy it would be to just throw in the towel and gain 10 pounds, then another 10, and another. I have to make the choice every day as far as if I'm going to eat right and exercise, and I truly take it day by day. And if I eat a donut, cookie, or piece of cake, I don't get down on myself about it too much, I just move forward and try to do better. I love food, so it's my weakness and it's hard not to eat something yummy when it's right there, but I know with moderation I can still enjoy those treats every so often. I hope you are doing great in your journey!! Stick with it and you'll see success, it's a lifelong commitment, not just a quick fix. :)
