HCB's Journal, 28 July 2014

Greetings Buddies!

Well, I am back at work following the vacation and desperately trying to get back to my food routine. I had zero appetite this morning and just did not eat! That is not healthy behavior for me. I need protein in the morning and I just had coffee today.

Fortunately, I did eat lunch and dinner and a protein shake at night. Eventually, I will regain control with the food. Exercise maintains the usual schedule so I will be at
OTF tomorrow morning.

It seems I felt a little defiant the last few days like, "Damn it, I have been rigid so I deserve to cheat."

THAT IS RATIONALIZING AND DANGEROUS THINKING!

Time to get back to basics for good health and fitness.

I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

I don't think it's wrong to have those thoughts of enjoying "forbidden" foods once in a while. We work so damn hard at losing and getting well, we do deserve an occasional break.

Don't stress it. I posted today after 27 days of hiding. I just came back from vacation as well. Started my day with a 430 calorie yummy coffee but still ended my day including a beer at dinner @ 1904 calories total for the day. Logged everything including my exercise. I feel good. You posted so that is a great start. Welcome back.

I totally understand where you are. It may take a couple of days but you will get back.

Maybe be a little less rigid so you won't feel like cheating. If we feel deprived, we'll want to cheat. We must find a balance so that we're eating healthy and not depriving ourselves :) Have fun at OTF today.
