mgrill's Journal, 22 July 2014

I totally didn't expect to get to the gym today. House is depleted of some staples (laundry detergent, hand soap, etc.) and thought I'd just skip my lunch hour workout in order to get to the store for these provisions. But, darling husband came home this morning off the night shift reminding me it was his Friday and that he'd take care of the shopping so that I could keep with my routine.

Didn't need to tell me twice! I threw my towel in my gym bag and was packed to go. I dug out a circuit workout from the pile of chicken-scratch notes I keep in my bag and had a nice 20-minute workout during my lunch. Feel great to not miss out.

Just 10 miles to go in the "75 in 31 Challenge" and I'll meet that 75 mile goal for the month. It's proven to be a commitment every day if I wanted to make it happen.

He's a keeper! You're doing awesome on that challenge! I've been a slacker, but I think I'm going to keep re-doing the challenge until I hit that 75 miles in 31 days.

Thanks...and yes, he's a wonderful teammate to go through life with. We do our best to motivate eachother. Mars2, I like your idea of sticking with the challenge. Keep at it, and at least try to beat July miles in August.
