Had my worst week yet. The amazing thing is, I didn't think it was that bad. Too many nights hanging out with the neighbors drinking wine. Too many long car rides (8 hours in the car for 2 days this week). Not putting myself first again. Not working out everyday, because again, not putting myself first. Since the kids are out of school, I have let some no no food back in the house. So, Im being real with myself. I have to buckle myself back down. Started this morning. Went grocery shopping at 6:20 this morning, and bought only things I can eat. If the kids don't like it, they can move out. LOL. I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN LOSE THIS WEIGHT. NO ONE CAN DO IT FOR ME. I AM WASTING MY TIME DOING THE THINGS I KNOW I SHOULDNT. IM DONE.

I don't know how old your kids are, they look too young to move out in your picture. But if they are old enough to move out, then they are old enough to buy their own treats. If they aren't, then what I have found works for me is that I give my daughter 20 dollars a month in grocery budget to buy her own treats. I find that mentally for me, if I didn't buy it, it's not mine to eat. So I leave it alone quite easily and she still has the opportunity to have a treat every now and then. I did however caveat that it could not be all candy (she's 12, she would buy 20 dollars in 5 cent candy knowing her wily ways). she usually buys a bag of chips, some rice krispie treats or fruit roll ups and jello snacks. She has treats and I leave them the hell alone.

Alex - that isn't a bad idea. Paula give it some thought. Don't worry about the bad week, just get back at it and have a good week. You are right, only you can do it. You are important too!

Good for you! There is no reason kids can't eat healthy. No one NEEDS sugar laden foods, even kids. There is no comfort in comfort foods. Good Job Mom!
