It's official.. I've become a wild woman. I just planned a road trip while 8 months pregnant with a 10 yr old and a car sick toddler. The bad part is I'm excited for the change in scenery even if it is only for 1 night. Just goes to show I should probably get out more and stop talking to cows so much. Hubby wasn't exactly understanding because he's going to be going full speed between construction on the barn and baling hay but... well.. sometimes a girl just needs to get away for a night. I think it had more to do with his extremely round wife leaving the state even if it will only be 4 hours away. He will live. Now I just have to figure out how to keep the toddler from throwing up while we're speeding down the interstate.
To add to my wild streak. I went to the gym. Again. That makes twice this week. I even successfully avoided repeat birthday cake day although.. it is calling me from the fridge. Maybe I shouldn't congratulate myself yet. I can do that when I leave work and I'm in the safety of my own car where the only options are stale cheerios the kids have stuffed into the back seat or the leather on the steering wheel. I'm still determined to end this pregnancy under 205. I think I can do it. I've been pretty steady these past couple of months. I can't remember how much I got up to but I know I got up past 210 with little man. I'm now chanting I think I can while I listen to a co-worker crinkle a chip bag. Mmmmm chips. This may be more challenging than I thought.

I drove cross country when I was 7 or 8 months pregnant. As long as your healthy, you will be fine. Just make sure to stop frequently and stretch your legs.

I hear leather is high in protein... or is that the beef part of the cattle? I'd have to imagine the only thing crunchy in that chip is the bag.. I hate stale chips so that's my image when I think or chant 'I want, I want'.

I was installing insulation when I was 8 month pregnant, at the top of a really high ladder (13 foot ceilings). My ex took a picture. This was back in the day when I thought it important to prove I was wonder woman and that there was nothing I couldn't do. I"m WAY over that now. Have a great overnighter. I bet you'll have some good conversations with the 10 year old while the toddler is asleep. Enjoy!

You're hysterical, seriously, don't eat the leather!!!! When I was little I used to get car sick too (I still do in planes), my parents would give me half a Dramamine and it seemed to work, if you don't like pills they have these little bracelets that gently push on pressure points in their wrists to ease it too...good luck!!!

On the note of cake try this frosting. It is like a mix between cool whip and icing. Tastes awesome and without all the heaviness! http:// www.confessionsofacookbookqueen. com/2014/03/ better-bakery-whipped-frosting/
