hoosier436's Journal, 12 July 2014

Hard time today.. had a project that I jst found out bout on Friday night, for church.. it took over 10 hours (a video that lasts only 4 min or so)... and I could not finish it.. due to computer problems.. My graphics card is going bad on my puter.. finally got it done with the help of my sister's laptop that she gave to me.. (had to redo the video at least three times, during this time.. aggravating...
That and lack of sleep last night, I was tempted to give the whole thing up.. I want to say.. what is it worth it? My knees are still hurting like crazy- I eat salads every time I turn around- and well I am tired of it.... In a moment of weakness- my wife and I were in wally's world.. they have a
brand new pretzel shop. I asked my wife if she wanted to have one..
thank goodness she said no..So we left..just feeling blah..
I know in the long haul this is better.. but today just stunk big time..

It will be ok. I think frustration is probably everyone's hardest thing to conquer. "Comfort food" it gets the name for a reason. Good luck! Stay strong! Think of how much better you feel by not getting the pretzel. You dodged a bullet that would have left you feeling bad tomorrow both physically & mentally :)

You will be OK, God only puts before us what we can handle...Work wise, food wise, etc.. God Bless..

Pat yourself on the back! You didn't eat a lot of salt that comes with that pretzel which will give you major water retention or a carb bomb to your system. The scales don't know its water weight and you will be frustrated you aren't showing more of a loss. You did good and you know it! Yep, mentally it was a downer but you are a hero!

Good job not giving in and kudos to your wife for support. Stress causes me to crave foods, especially carbs. You got through this great - keep it up.

So sorry you had a crummy day. I totally relate to the hours and hours of work on a project whose end results seem minimal. Tomorrow is a brand new and each day brings new adventures. You can do it!

God is going to Bless You! You endured. A blessing is coming your way. He is going to give you the strength to stay focused and to let you know that your dream is his dream (as you are his child and he is CRAZY about you), and your dream to lose the weight will come to pass. God is still in control.

The project that I did for church.. was a bust! The sound cord from the laptop to the soundboard needed to be Mono not stereo..so 10+ hours was wasted.. Did not surprise me.. either... since everything that could go wrong did..

hey! you passed on the pretzel, so that´s a big bonus. I´d say the day was pretty good, you surmounted all to get your project done, you passed on the pretzel. Good for you!

even though your computer problems waylaid you in the end.

I've had days like that too where I have a deadline to meet and everything goes wrong or takes five times as long as planned and then I have to be somewhere else and I go all stressed out. I'm proud of you, though, for sticking it out and not giving into those pretzels!

Pssst. Why so hard on yourself. 60lbs. in less then 3 months. Amazing. Make today "be kind to Hoosier Day". Okay. Promise you one thing. Once you get the weight off your knees will be wonderful. For every lb. you lose, you relieve 4 lbs of pressure on your knees. I've lost 80, so that 320lbs. less pressure. Wish I knew this before I had the right one replaced. Imagine how much pressure you're going to be relieving?

Stay with it, you are doing great. Dont let a little bump in the road derail you. Focus on your goal and why you are doing this.

Yeah, we all have bad days...you handled it well despite the temptations. Give yourself a pat on the back!

Sounds like a lot of stress, add lack of sleep = a bit defeated. This is just a rough day. Everyone has them, get through it the best you can. Get some good rest tonight and start tomorrow fresh! :)
