If I knew that I'd be rich! But a guess would be to cut out the grains. But this is a guess and from hearsay. Good Luck! You can do this, just take it one day at a time!

I think that losing weight (fat) is the only thing that does it. Everyone's stomach's are different shapes and sizes. Some people are thin and have a round belly. It just depends on your body shape. So just keep up with the weight loss and your belly will get smaller too! Also, avoiding foods that cause bloat (water retention), like salt, and possibly grains, like Nowlunderstand mentioned, will make the stomach a little smaller. Great job on your weight loss. We don't always have good months (I stalled for 3 months and 4 months during my weight loss journey). It's frustrating, but eventually the weight starts coming off again. Also, as you get closer to your goal weight, your weight loss will naturally slow, until eventually it's at a trickle. No need to worry. You'll get there.

One way to help reduce "trouble zones" is by adding in some sort of strength training. There are several workout routines out there to help reduce certain areas. Strength training won't make you bulk up but will help to tone areas on your body. The theory, that I've come across anyways, is that by working muscles it results in the body pulling from the tissue immediately surrounding the muscles versus transporting it from somewhere else resulting in that area toning. You will lose less weight by strength training, but you will also lose more inches and fat.

I have decided that diets are not for me at my age of 68. What I have decided to do is throw away diets, and take my doctors advice and just eat healthy. I do watch my calories, fat, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, and salt intake, because of my heart that is just a smart thing to do. However, I do enjoy a very small treat like no more than 1 or 2 cookies in a day, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I have learned treats are ok if you keep your sense about it and don't over indulged. This keeps one from cheating to the point they are back to their old habits. I also get excises just from working in my yard, or cleaning my house, I get plenty of excises doing this because I have three grandchildren, my daughter and her husband living with me and they believe grandma is the only one who can help them, and I love it because that keeps me very busy and active. LOL I also have a walking at home CD with Leslie Sansone that I do when my knees and back will allow me too. Now the results of my new way of losing weigh is, as of this morning I have lost 10 lbs. Now I only have 19 lbs to go then I will be down to what I should weigh.
