One pound at a time -- I guess I'm taking the tortoise approach and not the hare...but I think I'm okay with that. Speaking of animals, the theme song to "Green Acres" has been stuck in my head for TWO days now! (Remember that show?) I think I know why (just finished another "Thin Line" FORUM POST about it -LOL)! Stay tuned for another mini-trek into this crowded brain of mine AND next week's whole food challenge. BTW, Buddies, how'd your QUINOA challenge go?

A pound at a time is better than nothing! Or in my case, up 2. You are doing great!! Slow and steady still wins the race.

You just gave me an earworm of the Green Acres song. You EVIL woman you!! ;-) And if you're tempted to belittle that one pound, go to the kitchen and take a look at a lb of butter or bacon. Imagine carrying that around on your thigh. It's gone now. Hurrah you!!

One pound a week may feel slow but, like you say, the tortoise approach works just as well, if not better, than many others. I swear the ultimate key to weight loss is just patience!

Even though many of us would love to see some fast results those are usually the results that were obtained in a not so healthy manner and the type that don't last. You are doing wonderful. Keep it going.

Good for you! Step by step getting to your goal weight!

I agree with everyone else. Besides, if it took us YEARS to put on all this weight, it doesn't seem very logical that we would expect our bodies to shed it in a matter of months. Making permanent lifestyle changes takes time and we are FAR more likely to be comfortable with those changes and keep the weight off if we don't feel too deprived and just give up.

Thanks for all the encouragement! It really helps remind me that this process is as it should be and to just keep my patience and persistence. ((hugs))

You're doing great! The main thing is to see it as a long-term thing. If you don't give up, you will reach your goal.
