Heart monitor. Very useful for keeping your heart rate in the fat burning zone.

You asked a very subjective question. All the answers will be personal opinion and probably biased to some degree. But I'll throw in my 2 cents. Personally, I'd buy weights because I feel like cardio can be done anywhere. But then again, my goal may be different from yours - mine is to gain lean muscle mass (gain weight). If you get your heart rate up during cardio, you'll burn fat faster. So I don't see much need for gadgets. And you have this great site to help you keep track of food, caloric intake, and macros. I hope that helps.

Sorry it spelled it wrong it's the Basis B1. It's also a strapless heart monitor and awesome for interval training. Tracks sleep, steps, bike rides, walking and running separately on one watch. I joined orange theory and it's the best thing to get me back into shape.

Thanks, everyone that has put in some input. I don't know if I would be interested in a heart monitor, though. The FitBit thing, I have heard of but haven't really dug into the information about it.
Kitjai26, thanks for throwing in your two cents. I appreciate it and yes, you are correct that I did not mention what my goal is. My goal is to slim down. My legs, butt, chest are too bulky for my taste. I want to make myself more slimmer and leaner. I don't really care so much what the scale says as do my own picture/looking in the mirror, and measurements do.

Everyone moves even when not exercising. Look into Omron pedometer to keep track of your moving(steps).

You are a boxer? Buy a jump rope, but be sure to get one according to your height. Boxers in training always jump rope. :)

No, I'm not a boxer but my uncle was and he taught me some basics on the bag. Then I got hooked. LOL. I just do it for fun! I do have a weighted jump rope but until I get a better support bra, I try to limit the jumping. I don't want my boobs to sag more, I want them smaller. LOL
